While dealing with the aftermath of Katrina, everyone is quick to point fingers. The hurricane was not a surprise, and unfortunately, natural disasters do occur. For all of those blaming the governor and the mayor, I propose this: If your neighbor's house is on fire, are you going to call him at work and ask for his permission to call the fire department, or are you just going to go right ahead and call the fire department? Yeah, that is what I thought. The Federal government and the National Guard knew exactly what was coming, and they could have made a decision then.
The only thing that I blame Blanco for is not having big enough balls to tell people where to go. Although, Mary Landreau is a little firecracker. I stand by Louisiana officials.
